?Aspire Academy organized the 2013 induction meeting hosting the new student-athletes and their parents on Tuesday 14th of May 2013. The induction meeting aims to enhance the shared responsibilities between student-athletes parents and Aspire Academy to provide the best academic and athletic environment for champions of tomorrow.
The induction day this year has included 74 new student-athletes, where 32 will specialize in football. Accordingly, the number of accepted students has shown an increase by 20% this year when compared with the number of students of last year!
Ivan Bravo, the Director General of Aspire Academy, said in his welcoming speech in the induction meeting that Aspire Academy was honored to meet the new student-athletes of Aspire Academy as Aspire Academy will continue its mission in adopting and developing the sport talents from early stages until maturity to excel to the superior levels. To achieve Aspire Academy mission, it serves champions of tomorrow with all the skills and expertise required the best academic and athletic performances to represent the name of Qatar in the most prestigious global events.
Badr Al-Hay, the Director of Education and Student Care in Aspire Academy, said that the induction meeting is a yearly occasion where we have the chance to meet with the student-athletes and congratulate them for being accepted in Aspire Academy. The induction meeting will indeed give the new student-athletes a 360 degrees view of all the academic , athletic, and social programs and activities of Aspire Academy.
Whereas, Jassim al Jaber, the Principle of the Academic Program, added that the new edition of the induction meeting this year allows the new students-athletes to meet the existing students and alumni to discuss and negotiate the full, rich experience of Aspire Academy.
The induction meeting started with the management welcoming speech, followed by the students discussion panel and open Q&A sessions.
