Aspire Academy's commitment to nurturing champions in sport and life has continued with an initiative in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. The hugely successful Hands Together Towards Success event aimed to equip students with the skills and knowledge to help them make a fruitful transition from school to life after graduation.
The event welcomed counsellors and students from 25 schools who engaged in a series of interactive talks focusing on career planning, leadership development, and the role of artificial intelligence in education.
Abdul Aziz Al-Jedaia, Student Affairs Services Manager at Aspire Academy, emphasised the importance of such initiatives in shaping students' futures: "Education extends beyond textbooks and classrooms. The primary goal of this event is to provide comprehensive preparation for high school students, empowering them to make well-informed decisions about their academic and professional futures and enhancing their readiness for life after graduation. It is our responsibility to prepare them for all possible scenarios and ensure they have a clear plan for their future, along with alternative strategies in case their initial plan does not go as expected."
Specialised Talks and Practical Insights
The event featured a series of specialised talks designed to help students gain practical insights into their personal and professional development.
Saleh Al Yafei, Head of the Leadership Development Program at Aspire Academy, led a session titled "Building Success and Achieving Goals," which focused on effective strategies for setting and achieving future aspirations. Youssef Mahmoud, Founder and CEO of Al Busla, conducted a workshop on "Building a Strong and Confident Personality. "In it, he guided students in developing self-confidence and the ability to overcome challenges.
With technology playing an increasingly significant role in shaping the future workforce, Dr. Khaled Hussein, Strategy & Development Lead at Aspire Academy, delivered a session on "Leveraging Artificial Intelligence in Student Life." He explored ways in which AI can support learning and decision-making. He emphasised the importance of adhering to academic guidelines and ethical standards to ensure its responsible and effective use.
The event concluded with a session titled "Aspire Career Journey," presented by Khalid AlHamar, Director of Human Resources. He gave students an insight into the specially developed programme that Aspire Academy uses with its student-athletes. The project guides them through the steps needed to transition from education to the workplace and ultimately succeed in that environment. He added, "We believe that preparing students for this phase in a practical manner is one of the key foundations for success, whether in the workplace or professional sports."
Student Perspectives: Gaining Insight and Inspiration
Reflecting on the experience, Issa Maher Rajab Salem, a Grade 12 student at Khalifa Secondary School, expressed his appreciation for the event: "We had the honour of visiting Aspire Academy and attending insightful lectures on choosing the right specialisation. We learned that selecting a major is not just about picking any field after finishing school—it's about choosing a path that truly aligns with our interests and aspirations. We also heard inspiring success stories, including that of Mohammed, who initially worked as a security guard while studying at night and is now one of the most prominent lawyers in Bahrain. This experience has reinforced the importance of making informed and thoughtful career decisions."
The "Hands Together Towards Success" event reaffirmed Aspire Academy's commitment to empowering students with the tools and knowledge needed to navigate their academic and career paths with confidence, further strengthening its role as a leading institution in holistic student development.
