Doha, 4 November 2019. Aspire Academy student-athletes joined in with Aspire Academy graduate and Qatar international football player, Abdulkarim Hassan and staff from ‘The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’, in planting trees at Al Furosiya Street Development Project on Monday 4th November 2019. The project is part of the Ashghal initiative called, “Beautification of Roads and Public Places in Qatar” and has seen students across Qatar participated in tree planting projects across the country.
Speaking after the planting trees, Aspire graduate Abdulkarim Hassan said, “Today l am participating with happiness alongside students from my second home Aspire Academy in an important program that helps spread awareness making our streets in Qatar beautiful by planting trees”.
30 students from Aspire Academy participated in the planting of around 20 trees on Al Furosiya Street Development Project, one of Ashghal’s highways projects, as part of the “Qatar Beautification and Our Kids Planting Trees Campaign”, which will be implemented weekly by many participating students from different levels of education to plant trees throughout Qatar over eight months. The campaign will run until the end of 2021
