Five Gymnastics student athletes from Aspire academy have realized a fantastic achievement lately last week during their participation in the 2nd GGC School Sports Games in Dubai, UAE.
The academy’s boys represented Qatar and Aspire in this competition that gathered more than 250 athletes boys and girls under 14 from 7 other countries, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Bahrain, Oman, Yemen, and UAE.
The championships, named “Khaleegiad 2” included four sporting events which are Athletics, Gymnastics, Swimming and Table Tennis.
The Qatar U-14 team in gymnastics was led by student athletes Ali Al-Naimi, Abdulaziz Salem, Ahmed Nabeel Mousa, Abdulla Al- Romaihi, and Abdullah Ibrahim. They took the lead in Gymnastics event by wining 4 gold medals, 2 silver and 3 bronze.
Commenting on this achievement, Ali Ahmed Al- Hitmi, student care manager at Aspire academy, who is the same time president of Qatar Gymnastics Federation, said|:” I am glad that all members of this team are Aspire student athletes.
The academy affected positively their performance and behavior, so I would like to thank and congratulate all members of the academy for their contribution especially school staff and teachers, sport department, social studies, LDP, doctors, Physiotherapists and nurses. I am truly confident that we are going to achieve more success with our talented boys in this classic and demanding sport.”
