ABUBAKER FINISHES FIFTH IN 800M ROUND 1 AT RIO OLYMPICS

12 Aug 2016

Rio, 12 August 2016. In his Olympics debut, Aspire Academy graduate Abubaker Haydar participated in the 800m event in Rio. On Friday afternoon the 19-year-old Qatari started in Heat 6 and finished fifth with a time of 1:47.81. Unfortunately that was not enough to make it to the semi-finals, but for Abubaker it was another chance to gain valuable experience at the highest possible level and he is going to benefit from it in the big events to come.

Keep your fingers crossed for the remaining Aspire Academy graduates and follow their competitions in Rio!
