Abdulla Al-Tamimi reaches final of QSF Challenger Open

Doha, 24 July 2019. Qatar's top squash player and Aspire Academy graduate Abdulla Al-Tamimi qualified to the final match of of QSF Challenger Open organized by the Qatar Squash Federation at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha.

Al Tamimi cruised to the final match after beating India’s Mahesh Mangaonkar 3-1 in the first semifinals match and will now take on top seed Leo Au of Hong Kong on Wednesday. For the 24-year-old Qatari, the challenger has been his comeback after surgery six months ago.

The PSA Challenger Tour provides a platform for the world’s most exciting up-and-coming players to cut their teeth on the professional circuit against some of the squash’s most experienced professionals, with tournaments offering prize money between $5,500 – $30,000.
