“When we launched the first and second editions of the Aspire for Education, we sought to improve the educational experience in Qatar. The first conference in 2013 was held under the theme academic and career guidance, whereas the second was held under the theme ‘academic support’. This year’s theme was selected because integrating values within the academic curriculum is something new to Qatar and we’d like to discuss it in this year’s event. We have more than five years of experience through our various leadership programmes, which complements the academic and sporting aspects of our student-athletes”, said Badr Jassim Al-Hay, Director of Education and Student Care. He further said that Aspire Academy has successfully cultivated enough experience to be shared with others so students, parents, and other educators can benefit from them and know how to integrate these values in the learning process.

During the conference, Salah Al-Yafei, Leadership Training Officer, also introduced Aspire Academy’s new leadership curriculum: “Decision-makers in the field of education need such programmes through which they can share the personalities of the youth who will be one day responsible in building this country.”

This new leadership curriculum that Aspire Academy adopts was compiled using the knowledge offered from over 56 renowned books about the topic. Some of the authors have been invited to speak in this year’s conference, to share their expertise and discuss their research topics with the attendees. Some of these authors include Mr. Saleh Al Duqla, Dr. Majed Al Jallad, Dr. Zuhair Al Muzaidi and others from Qatar University experts.”
