ASPIRE ZONE CEO HOSTS “GHABGA DINNER”
10 Jul 2014, General
This year’s Ramadan activities brought an American Football delegation to Aspire Zone in order to promote the sport in Qatar. A task that was well fulfilled by them, especially by NFL-player Husain Abdulla of the Kansas City Chiefs, who also taught kids and teenagers some skills at Aspire Dome earlier this week.
To express his thanks, Khalid Abdullah Al-Sulaiteen, CEO of Aspire Zone Foundation, welcomed the American Football delegation and representatives of the American embassy in his house for the traditional “Ghabga”-dinner. On this social gathering, that is typical in the month of Ramadan, traditional Qatari food and Arabic café were served to the guests that also included members of the AZF and MO’s management including Ivan Bravo, Director General of Aspire Academy.
“This whole experience in Doha has been overwhelming for me. Everyone has been very welcoming and I hope that the popularity of American Football in Qatar keeps rising and I definitely want to come back to see more,” NFL-star Husain Abdulla commented on his stay in Doha.
